The Salewa Switchfit system is as simple as it is clever: simply pull the laces together and pull up at the back eyelet. This will pull your foot forward into the toe cap, the toes are compressed like a climbing shoe, you can easily loosen them for hiking. Specifically designed for climbing, the WS Wildfire Edge GTX® climbing shoe is also equipped with an edging plate, an insole plate under the forefoot that provides extra stiffness under the toes. The Pomoca Speed MTN sole scores points with improved grip and higher friction in dry and wet weather. The sole features a precision climbing zone in the toe area, good edge performance and aggressive studs for improved traction on muddy and soft surfaces. For better torsion resistance, the upper is made of Exa Shell, which in combination with the 3-F system for flexibility, fit and support wraps around the foot.
