Should I take a course or a workshop?

Because courses typically include participants from multiple companies, they use a case study format for teaching. Workshops are designed for several people from one company so that we can focus on your specific situation. Think of a workshop as a concentrated ‘mini consulting’ engagement.

Which workshop is right for me?

SAFe Executive workshop (1 day)

This workshop will give you a deeper and better understanding of the problems and challenges you face and how they can be solved in a sustainable way. Furthermore, the workshop will emphasize your role in leading a successful transformation with the Scaled Agile Framework. We go very deep in the discussions where we discuss concrete pains, contexts, goals and how to create a learning organisation. By understanding and adopting a Lean-Agile mindset, you will be able to apply the principles to improve the quality of your products and services in today’s market.

Leading SAFe (2 days)

During this two-day course, participants gain the knowledge necessary to have an overall overview of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and its underlying principles drawn from Lean, System Thinking, Agile development, product development flow and DevOps

Lean Portfolio Management (2 days)

In this course, participants are provided with the practical tools and techniques necessary to implement the Lean Portfolio Management functions: strategy, investments, agile portfolio management and Lean Governance.

Participants learn to capture the current and desired future state of their portfolio with the Portfolio Canvas tool, where you also identify important initiatives that can contribute to goal achievement. We further look at value streams, prioritization mechanisms and how to set up a Lean Portfolio for maximum performance.

Agile Product Management (3 days)

The course fuses the power of Design Thinking with proven SAFe practices to create innovative solutions that satisfy both the strategy and vision of your company. Learn the right mindset, skills and tools to create successful products, throughout the lifecycle, using agile techniques.

Recognize how continuous inspection and research drives innovation and helps you define the vision, strategy and roadmap to win new markets.

SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager ( 2 days)

Develop the skills needed to deliver value in a Lean enterprise by becoming a SAFe® 5 Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM). In the course, participants gain a thorough understanding of how to effectively perform their role in an Agile Release Train (ART), how to use Lean thinking to decompose Epics into Features and User Stories and refine these and much more.

Agile Software Engineering ( 3 days)

Software development has changed dramatically with the introduction of Lean-Agile and DevOps principles and practices. New skills and approaches help organizations deliver software-centric solutions faster, more predictably and with higher quality.

Participants learn how continuous flow of value and built-in quality are enabled by modern practices, including XP, behavior-driven development (BDD), and test-driven development (TDD). We further look at modeling techniques such as SOLID, design patterns, abstraction, encapsulation and how this fits into the overall solution context.

SAFe for Architects ( 3 days)

The course enables System, Solution and Enterprise Architects to engage as effective leaders and change agents who collaborate to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

Participants explore the roles, area of responsibility and mindset of Agile architects, learn how they can align architecture and business value to create continuous flow and value creation in large systems.

SAFe DevOps (2 days)

To compete in a disruptive global market, every organization needs to deliver valuable technology solutions as quickly as the business needs them. The two-day, interactive course helps people across technical, non-technical and management roles work together to optimize the end-to-end value stream.

SAFe for Teams (2 days)

Build the skills needed to become an effective team member in an Agile Release Train (ART) – and learn how to collaborate effectively with other teams.

During this course, you will gain a thorough understanding of ART, how it creates value and what you can do to effectively perform your role using Scrum, Kanban and XP. Learn how to write stories and split Features into User Stories, plan and execute iterations, and plan program increments.

SAFe Release Train Engineer(3 days)

Facilitate and enable end-to-end delivery through Agile Release Trains (ARTs) – and learn how to build a high-performing ART by exercising Servant Leadership and coaching – when you become a SAFe® 5 Release Train Engineer (RTE).

The course gives you a thorough understanding of the role and responsibility of a Release Train Engineer (RTE) in SAFe.

SAFe Scrum Master/Team Coach ( 2 days)

Participants learn how to build high-performing Agile teams by exercising servant leadership and role modeling, and how to coach these teams to deliver maximum scalable business value. SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM) certification proves that the holder is ready to perform the role of Scrum Master in a SAFe environment, adding value to teams and organizations implementing SAFe. SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (2 days)

The course prepares current Scrum Masters for their leadership role for the successful implementation of SAFe®.

The course covers facilitating inter-team interaction for fruitful and correct program execution and relentless improvement. We extend the Scrum paradigm with an introduction of scalable Engineering and DevOps practices, the application of Kanban to simplify the value flow and support interaction with architects, product management and other critical stakeholders in larger program and enterprise contexts.
