Agile Kata™
Your path to agile improvements that stick
→ The Agile Kata is a universal pattern for continuous agile improvement.
→ A kata is a routine, a systematized way of practicing and a habit to repeat. We don’t aim for perfection, we aim to improve.
→ Evidence based: Observe what’s going on, conduct hypothese-based experiments, and learn faster than others. Most organizations do the exact opposite.
→ Agile kata is a pattern and a starting point. It doesn’t provide answers, it just provides practices to help you find answers.
Agile transformation isn’t a remarkable progress. A whopping 75% of agile transformations fail to achieve their goals, resulting in missed opportunities for significant positive impact on employee engagement, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and time to market (McKinsey, 2022). This may be due to the fact that companies see agile as an update to their business processes and not as a culture change.
Business agility has become a huge buzzword within organizations. Is it difficult to digest enough to become a buzzword? And are existing agile teams looking for new ways to drive organizational change or new ways of working? The list of challenges may be endless.
At the team level, Agile kata brings new vitality and ideas to existing agile teams looking to improve their current agile processes. For teams looking for alternatives to Scrum and Kanban, Agile kata can also be used as a team process.
Should I take a course or a workshop?
Because courses typically include participants from multiple companies, they use a case study format for teaching. Workshops are designed for several people from one company so that we can focus on your specific situation. Think of a workshop as a concentrated ‘mini consulting’ engagement.
